About the project
The Micam fair is a flagship event for footwear industry that takes place every six months at Rho-Fiera Milano. Every February and September, seven pavilions host shoe manufacturers, traders and retailers, buyers, journalists and designers from all over the world to understand what the next season's footwear trends will be.Inside Micam, in 2018 a project was launched in collaboration with Honegger company so-called 'Emerging Designers': a jury of experts from fashion industry gathered to select twelve national and international footwear designers, whose collections emerge on the contemporary offer panorama because of its ability to steer next buying trends. The selected ones have the opportunity to exhibit their creations during the two annual Micam editions, in February to present the fall/winter collection, and in September for the spring/summer collection. With a long experience in the field of booths, Honegger also takes care of the exhibition concept of the Emerging Designers area, which combines elements taken from the modern metropolis to the green of tropical plants in collaboration with Venicegreen, the event's green partner. Over 500 square meters welcome the visitor, who will be able to observe the latest trends according to designers, in terms of sneakers, red carpet heels, women's shoes, male shoes models and sculpture shoes.
